Not a fit

Thanks for responding to our ETL ad.

I cannot tell if you have worked with any ETL tools.  Have you?  If not, you would not be a fit for this particular role, but I may have another role coming up soon.

Self:

I completed a project which required client data (stored in Access) to fit it into web application database (MySQL).

In order to achieve this goal, I had to perform ETL on the client data.

Using ETL tools like Informatica was not an option due to budget constraints.

I achieved the goal by creating generic SQL scripts that were generating transformation scripts based on individual table data mapping.

I have a very good understanding of ETL process and  I don't see how having ETL tool handy may impair my ability to perform the tasks as needed.

No such luck to get a chance to perform the tasks as needed...
