It is unfortunate that the situation is still not resolved. I will correct my posting.
In Russia, too, the government in violation of its own laws kidnaps people.
With regard to the point of view on violence, then I feel closer to the position of Mike Gogulski. I believe that members of the ruling elites are responsible for their crimes as members of criminal gangs. Conspiring against the people, they have deprived themselves of any immunity.
However, I believe that the struggle against the power of governments can be varied, depending on the beliefs of man. Therefore, those who resist the government with civil disobedience, and those who are engaged in guerrilla activities against the rulers, are equally doing useful work.
