Describing Blair as "a troubled young man veering toward professional self-destruction," the paper today recounted how the reporter faked stories from Maryland, West Virginia, Ohio and Texas without ever leaving New York, using a cell phone and laptop computer to disguise his whereabouts and deceive his bosses. 3:08p	К вопросу о продажности газет В сборнике "Россия и Франция" (М. Наука, 1995, 800 экз.) есть статья известного историка Ревякина (http://www.prosv.ru/club/club4_rev.shtml) "1922-1924: за кулисами дипломатического признания", о до сих пор темных аспектах признания СССР Францией в 1924 году. Ревякину удалось найти секретное досье Сюрте Женераль об отношениях газеты "Тан" и советских представителей. По всей вероятности, досье было вывезено из Парижа немцами, а позже вывезено из Германии в Москву. Выясняется, что в 1922 году советские представители и газета заключили соглашение, по которому газета обязалась печатать благоприятные для советской стороны материалы в обмен на 520 тысяч франков (что, как я только что пересчитал, тогда равнялось, округленно, 50 тысяч долларов). Правда, "Тан" брала деньги не только от Советов - среди ее клиентов были Румыния, Италия, Венгрия. Но советское направление было для них настолько важным, что когда дипломатическое признание было достигнуто, послом в Москву поехал не профессиональный дипломат, а руководитель политического отдела этой газеты Эрбетт - что, вообще говоря, должно было выглядеть двусмысленно... 9:33p	Судьба Югославии PODGORICA, Serbia-Montenegro - Filip Vujanovic, a former prime minister who favors independence from Serbia, won a landslide victory in Montenegro's presidential election Sunday, according to unofficial results. Через три года (то есть уже меньше чем через три) Черногория может провести плебисцит о независимости. Глядя из сегодняшнего дня, трудно представить, что может заставить их проголосовать против этой опции. Но если Черногория станет независимой, любая рациональная аргументация против независимости Косова (если таковая вообще представима) потеряет смысл уже окончательно и бесповоротно. Черногорцев, кажется, даже меньше, чем косовских албанцев, и по площади Черногория меньше Косова. Посмотрим, кто и как будет выкручиваться из этой ситуации... (35 Comments | Comment on this)
