Though the pain was obviously horrible, Brown gave Cain no morphine, because he knew that he would be heading for immediate surgery and wanted him lucid enough to sign surgical-consent papers.
Nice, eh?
I wonder if anybody reading this can compare this report to his or her experience in other armies at war, (likely Israeli and Russian).
