ron: "my dad became a country and western radio personality in Bakersfield, went by the name of Tumbleweed Turner. When I would go on the show with him, my moniker was Sagebrush, son of Tumbleweed. He had a four hour show called Kern Kounty Kountry Time on KPMC. His theme music was Drifting along with the tumbling tumbleweeds. I gave him his name, recalling our decades of the movie biz, where I often had to chop tumbleweeds off the back rows of our drive in movie theaters." |
