One of the high points of her life came in the mid-1950s when she
lived in Spain and London with the writer Alec Waugh, who gave her a Cisitalia
sports car, now in the Metropolitan Museum in New York, and wrote about her in
his much re-printed novel Fuel for the Flame (1960).

    Belated comment:

I only learned of Marion Wrottesley's death yesterday, Feb 2, 2007.

It is highly unlikely that the MOMA Cisitalia belonged to Marion Wrottesly, because it belonеged to me. I bought it from her in Madrid in 1959. Moreover, it did not run on jet fuel or Frenet Branca for that matter. It had a 4 cyl 1500 cc Fiat engine with a special high compression aluminium head, but was not really that powerful. The lines were beautiful, but we alterted the original frontend designh.

Marion was quite a woman that all who had the pleasure of knowing were will attest. May God bless her.
