Inflation adjusted charts. S&P, Dow, gold, silver

Inflation adjusted charts can give a different perspective from charts using nominal prices. With that in mind, we present monthly charts of four stock indexes. We suggest the viewer observe the difference in patterns between "real" prices and nominal prices. The adjusted for inflation calculation uses the Warren and Pearson's price index prior to 1913 spliced to the Consumer Price Index - All items (NSA) in January 1913.
