8X8 is the unique and mystical collaboration between Lane Steinberg (New York, US) and Alex Khodchenko (Kiev, UKR). The two have never met in person and have never spoken. Indeed, they would be mostly unable to do so, for they do not share a common language and must rely on online translation programs to communicate. This aside, they have established an effective method of working, trading files back and forth through the internet. Their aesthetic kinship is such that the work flows freely between them and they often anticipate each others comments and suggestions before they are made. The music can be described as psychedelic pop, not in a cliched sense of obvious stylistic reference points, but in its kaleidoscopic vision. Their influences, though easy to glean, fall secondary to the strength of the compositions and their performances.
'Azalea's Room', their 2nd collection, has been two years in the making. The title track typifies the kinetic energy of their process. At first, Alex had a rough track which was labeled, "Azia Brew". Lane then turned this into 'Azia's Brew", which transformed into "Azalea's Brew", before settling into its final incarnation. The song, with it's Arabic sounding melody, speaks of a seaside refuge belonging to a mysterious woman. What follows are songs with far-flung subjects such as star-crossed werewolves, cold war-era spies, a retiring obstetrician, a person trying to erase their identity the internet...not exactly the usual rock n' roll subjects.
Nor is the music anything typical, with its sweeping melodies, majestic cadences, and seamless melding of rock drive with classic and classical influence. Besides the three B's (Beatles, Beach Boys, Barrett), there are also progressive snatches that recall the heyday of Yes and Procol Harum,
"Azalea's Room" closes out with a cover of 'Tears of Rage', the only song written by Bob Dylan and Richard Manuel, which first appeared on the Band's first album, 'Music From Big Pink'.This is the only track with a guest musician (underground legend, R. Stevie Moore, plays bass).The song is a prefect coda to the album and an aesthetic touchstone to everything 8X8 is about - impressionistic, yet penetrating lyrics wedded to a grand melody and delivered with a gentle groove you can turn off, relax, and float downstream to.

This Co. presents "More", their second album. After years of silent work, This Co. comes back at the end of April with More, their second independent album. As the title suggests, this is a more dense, elaborated and mature album than the previous one.
This is definitely More This Co. Loaded with that dark atmosphere introduced on their debut, More dives deeper on those layers of punk, new wave and electronics that define the sound of This Co., but without giving up their intention to make you dance. The album was independently produced with the collaboration of the musician and producer Juan Cristobal Saavedra (a.k.a. Equipo) on the electronics.

Enrico Cortellino, aka Cortex, is an Italian musician, singer, songwriter.
2007 he released his early psychedelic and poetic album "Cortex" produced by collective Arab Sheep.
2008 Cortex took part to International Music Contest Tourmusicfest, and he was rewarded by Mogol himself, who is the most famous lyricist in Italy since the 60's.
2010 - 2011 Cortex made some self productions for the web.
2013 album "Cinico Romantico" counts few but strong elements, such as a 30's old jazz guitar, a valvestate amplifier, harmonica and piano tunes, creating ten catchy songs influenced by Italian cult artists such as Rino Gaetano, Lucio Battisti, Franco Battiato, Lucio Dalla, Fabrizio De Andrè and Ivan Graziani.

Sleepy Dancing, Skala Collective’s second album, this time with participation of a vocalist and in slightly different stylistics than ever before.
Sound and style of the band, well-known from the previous album, have been transformed through more pop type filters which make new compositions more melodic and definitely less harsh than the previous ones. However space rock areas and rhythmic kraut massage are still easy to hear in that music.
Gee’s vocals and lyrics have lent a sensual element of femininity. The whole, although comes from different music inspirations, forms a coherent album with occasionally a trance and hypnotic, sometimes even dance face. Skala Collective’s musicians define their production as post-pop.

The creative association "Utrovortu" formed in St. Petersburg some years ago. Its core was the band "Golubi i bezumnye kashevary" ("The Pigeons and the Insane Porridgemakers"), a large body of people performing at the interface between music and experimental poetry.
Besides the regular concerts of "Golubi i Bezumnye Kashevary" "Utrovortu" carries out experimental performances, based on the principles of spontaneity and all-round improvisation (mainly musical and near-theatrical).
This recording was made in October 2008, and commits one of these performances.

Based in York (UK), Red Cosmos is the solo project of Kim Tortoise. Kim was previously a member of The Gods Themselves with Art Moran. They made two super-limited cassettes of novelty tunes and five-minute fade-outs.

This is Red Cosmos' first long-player There And Back. It includes (amongst others) a choraldelic ode to the legendary Psych re-issue label Bam Caruso Records (St.Albans Colour Explosion), a high-voiced love song sung by a kidnapper (You Said You Loved Me), and a track featuring Kim Tortoise's father-in-law reciting a poem about the fate of Iron Stone Miners in Yorkshire (Iron Rush).
