Разновидностей столов и столиков было множество- рабочие, карточные, витринные. Письменные я уже показывала, теперь консольные столики.

A German rococo mid-18th-century carved wood and gilded console table. A mask is a three-dimensional rendering of an animal or human face, used as a decorative motif. Masks have appeared as an element in furniture design and interior decoration since the Renaissance. Originally inspired by the look of ancient Roman theatrical masks, their forms expanded to include grotesques and references to mythology, including Medusa heads, which were often used by metalworkers, and satyr-masks

Спасибо:) Меня умиляет, когда по интернету(!) такого типа вопросы задают- поисковики же у всех под рукой! Я думала- все знают... сорри:)Общеупотребительно это - подставка под чего-то: часы, скульптуру, зеркало и т.п.
Барочные- вобще самые красивые, резьба потрясающая, но картинок мало- они в большинстве в музеях, а музейные сайты скупятся на хорошие фото. А аукционные сайты часто копировать не дают.
