Старинные автоматоны. Продолжение.
Нашла две редких картинки с музыкальными автоматонами в виде человеческих фигур-музыкантов, 18 века, а также много видеороликов автоматонов.

The clockwork mechanism is a complex one; when it is activated the boy plays a sad tune, the ears move back and forth, the right arm moves up and down and his left leg swings. мальчик играет печальную мелодию, уши двигатюся взад и вперед, правая рука движется вверх и вниз, и он еще качает левой ногой.

Этот автоматон я уже показывала, а сейчас нашла и статуэтку,сделанную под впечатлением от этого автомата, он был очень известен.
Тигр был обнаружен британцами во дворце в столице Типу Султана после осады Seringapatam в 1799 году.
"Тигр Tippoo" был сделан для правителя Майсура в Южной Индии (1782-1799). The almost life-size wooden semi-automaton consists of a tiger mauling a prostrate figure in European clothes. Почти в натуральную величину деревянный автомат . An organ is concealed inside the tiger's body, and when a handle at the side is turned, the organ can be played and the man's arm simultaneously lifts up and down. Орган скрыт внутри тела тигра, имитирует вопли несчастного умирающего. Intermittent noises are supposed to imitate the wails of the dying man.

Вот эти два я уже показывала:
Сосуд для питья с механизмом и богиней Дианой.
Олень- это сам сосуд, голова оленя- крышка. Благодаря часовому механиму вся скульптурная группа, как я поняла из перевода, могла двигаться по столу в четырех направлениях.

The mechanism is hidden within the high-domed base by a flat, silver oval plate, held in place by four screws at the cardinal points of the foot-rim; in addition, four more holes have been cut in the plate: one is to allow the key to be inserted and to engage with the winding-square, while the other three permit the three wheels to protrude and, as they rotate, to traverse the flat surface of the table.

The armour belonged to the Complimentarius, a mechanical greeting-automaton that was installed from the early 17th to the early 19th century in the Schütting (the merchant guild headquarters) in Bremen.
