Refusal to Pay / Political Statement Regarding Transphobic Hate Crime CONTEXT: I'm a transsexual woman. Back when I came to NL as a refugee, they placed me in a COA refugee camp. As a trans I needed facial hair removal, so I came to the closest to the refugee camp shop, offering the laser hair removal service - Talia Beautysalon. They refused to serve me, saying they serve only women and I'm not a woman. I still insisted that I'm a woman. They called the shop owner, who said she decides who the woman is, and told her to get lost. Instead I began filming her rude response. She called her friends - street gangsters, who cornered and pushed me onto that shop's goods stand, which ended up falling and breaking. The goons proceeded to beat me and damage my phone to erase the video I recorded. As a result I got arrested, charged and convicted with damages, and caught faces with my nails to one of the guys. The goons who beat me were never prosecuted, and the beauty salon owner proceeded to misgender and discriminate against me in the court case documents. The judges insisted my appearance there provoked the innocent owner and her gang enforcers-friends.

SUBJECT: Refusal to Pay / Political Statement Regarding Transphobic Hate Crime
To Centraal Beheer,
I am writing this as an Open Letter, which is being published online simultaneously with its delivery to you.
I have received your demand for payment of €2,511.35 regarding the incident at Talia Beautysalon. Let me be unequivocally clear: I will not pay you a single cent, now or ever.
You are attempting to collect damages on behalf of a business that refused me service solely because I am a transsexual woman. When I stood my ground against this discrimination, the owner summoned what can only be described as a gang of enforcers. I was cornered, pushed, and beaten by individuals displaying violent, religiously-motivated aggression. The damage to the shop occurred because I was physically attacked and thrown against their inventory.
The Dutch legal system may have failed me by victim-blaming the trans woman while letting the violent thugs go free, but I will not allow an insurance conglomerate to profit from my oppression.
1. Financial Impossibility (The "Bald Chicken" Reality)
I live on a social welfare income (bijstandsniveau). I have zero assets. My income is strictly at the beslagvrije voet (seizure-exempt threshold) protected by Dutch law. You cannot extract water from a stone. Pursuing this claim through bailiffs or court orders will cost you thousands of euros in legal and administrative fees, and the return will be €0.00.
2. Political Stance
I view your attempt to collect this money as an extension of the transphobic violence I endured. You are effectively acting as the debt collector for people who discriminate against transgender women.
By pursuing this, you are choosing to make Centraal Beheer the face of institutional bullying against marginalized trans refugees. If you proceed with harassment or legal action, I will turn this case into a public political spectacle. I will dedicate every waking moment to publicizing how Centraal Beheer targets traumatized transsexual victims of assault to cover the costs of their aggressors.
I am ready to die challenging this injustice. I have nothing left to lose. I have no money, no employment prospects, and severe mental trauma from these events. I am not afraid of your debt collectors, your lawyers, or your bureaucracy.
My Demand:
Close this file immediately. Write off the debt as uncollectible. Stop harassing a victim of hate crime.
Any further contact from your office, other than a confirmation that the claim has been withdrawn, will be met with increased public scrutiny and political action.
