	Only 40 year olds even know who Saverok is. Would a trans girl do all that murdering, power grabbing shit Saverok did? 	"appears" should be emphasized, because he dies as soon as he appears, like a monster-miniboss, if you do a righteous playthrough and decide not to do any impersonation shenanigans and just kill the murder tribunal. Narrative wise he isn't anywhere central in BG3. (Ответить) (Уровень выше)

	It also reminded me how moronically inconclusive BG narratives are: The main villain of the first game somehow survives into the second installation as a party member, and again as a baddie in the third. 	>new D&D TV series, It's been cancelled, and now is in limbo. The Paramount movie was good, but it didn't do well at the box office. 	Mystery is how LoTR does so well, despite being a boring allegory on WW1 and WW2. Games Worshop even closed their Warhammer Fantasy, due to LoTR outperforming it. Guess same reason the World of Tanks is popular. (Ответить) (Уровень выше)

Sarevok is kind of a local Darth Vader.
But yeah, D&D was always about players creating their own characters.
So it has well designed monsters and lore, but no protagonists.
The movie ameliorated that a bit.
Although it still lacks much of the character development,
compared to say Star Wars, where most characters change during the course of the movie.
Honor Among Thieves characters are like a Lenin statues with birds on top.
That is why I would have preferred the Cyric vs Mystra story, since it is so much better,
and a core to the modern D&D setting.
