04:10 am: Duo Noir - 2005 - Marseilles
Tony Wakeford & Matt Howden aka Duo Noir perform Sol Invictus songs live in France in March 2000. This set really showcases Matt Howden's marvelous work on violin.

It is a striking fact how the music of Tony Wakeford and friends is beautiful and wild when played live. This album may once again surprise the people who like the more recent albums of Sol Invictus (Except Devil's Steed) as most of the songs played are taken from the older catalogue and the ones taken from the new are treated and arranged the same way as the others. But what is really surprising here is the density of the atmosphere created by just one viloin (and what a violin here!), one guitar and two voices. Let's be serious for a second here : if this is not genius then I wonder what is ? This release was recorded more than 5 years ago and yet it is by far more creative and advanced than all the other acts in this genre (even the best known ones).

прекрасное, да

с праздником.
