11:52a	The third Bard High School Early College Bard High School Early College opens in Newark. The third Bard High School Early College (BHSEC) opened in Newark, NJ in September. Newark Mayor Cory Booker joined Bard President Leon Botstein and BHSEC Newark principal Ray Peterson for a ribbon cutting ceremony to usher in the new academic year. Upon graduation BHSEC students will have a high school diploma as well as a tuition-free Associate in Arts degree from Bard. The occasion was featured in several regional papers, the Huffington Post, and as The New York Times. Другие школы: BHSEC Manhattan & Queens, NYC Accepted BHSEC students can look forward to completing most of the high school program and the required New York State Regents Exams in the first two years. Qualified ninth and tenth grade students are eligible for entry into the early college program. At the end of four years, students will have completed 60 college credits and received the Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree in the liberal arts and sciences from Bard College as well as a New York State Regents diploma. 12:23p	Гениальное походя Из комментариев: Насчет глаз*. Как-то в давние времена были мы с мамой в Таганроге на рынке. Ловить тогда уже запрещали – тетки с рыбой стояли у входа. Мама подошла к какой-то: «Свежая?» – ну знаете, хозяйки всегда так говорят, слегка морща нос. «Дама», – запела та – «та вы хляньте ей в хлаза!» А бабушкин там сосед был директором рыбозавода. Для гостий из Москвы, да и вообще бабушку все соседи любили, он таскал ей то, что простым людям не попадалось. В частности, помню такую рыбку лакерду. А котлеты рыбные бабушка делала с подливой черносливоволуковой. Каждая котлета как утюг. Я таскала прямо со сковороды не дожидаясь подливы. Кончилось мое там однажды пребывание тем, что лопнула сзади на платье молния.
