A draft law covering Spain’s approach to climate change and the transition from fossil fuels to clean energy is expected to reach Congress before the year is out. But the Ministry for Environmental Transition has already informed the country’s political parties of some of the key elements of this legislation. And among the proposals is a 2040 ban on the sale of all vehicles that use fossil fuels, whether they be powered by gasoline, diesel or natural gas.
Конечно, глупо надеяться что примут вот так с плеча -- пожалеют стариков, которым еще мандарины на рынок возить не перевозить на старом дизеле; пожалеют любителей супермаркетов, гоночек, выходных выездов с детишками в лес, гаджетной мишуры из Китая морскими перевозками через spilled oil patches и так далее.
Да и 2040 год слишком далеко еще.
Но все равно радует, что заговорили наконец об этом, несмотря на дикое давление всяких промышленных лобби. Наверное, это как-то связано с тем, что нынешний премьер у испанцев атеист.
