People are sick Recently, Michael received an offer of $1 million, and perhaps a second offer of $10 million, to walk away from this case and permit Terri's parents to care for her. My LJ friend ilvyavinarsky@lj supported a whole orphanage in Ukraine for much smaller amount. There is poverty everywhere, including every state of the US. There are poor kids everywhere who have no access to good education, health services, live in dangerous neighborhoods with poor or no playgrounds, etc., etc. Yet someone who happens to have an extra million or ten chooses to ignore the unpublished tragedy of the real kids in their own backyard and spend the money on keeping a nationally known vegetable alive.
