London (via the BBC) | I have always found London a curious city in relation to skyscrapers. It's not really known as a skyscaper city, but few places in Europe compare to it. It's very much a city of clusters, governed by many ancient and current laws that restrict height, location, and its forms. I personally think it adds to the beauty of the city as it is an ever evolving eclectic mix of old and new. It's hard to capture the skyline of London as unless you are on a hill or at the wide expense of the river, you are usually succumbed by the density of buildings. I just finished watching the latest episode of The Apprentice and they always have glorious shots of London from above and thought it would be great to share them. Sorry if they are a bit fuzzy as it is a direct screenshot! submitted by /u/hallouminati_pie [link] [comments] | |
