Artic circle | Trump wants to take green land Canada for a large foothold in the artic to challenge Russia and China and even European countries. There's tones of resources in this area and it's a future potential shipping line. I looked at the map and now it makes sense to me, this would be a resource and water way inspired conquest, similar to what the Europeans did in their colonial periods to the global south. Who here agrees with me? submitted by /u/usefulidiot579 [link] [comments]

Physical map of the Americas. I've been working on this map for few days now and going a little bit crazy staring at the labels. Doing a map of this scale solo is a pretty tiring affair. It's not perfect, but what is. I enjoy the process though. |

The world in coverleaf : A world map from 1581 | In 1581, the medieval cartographer and Protestant theologian Heinrich Bünting created a symbolic map of the world that adorned his book Itinerarium Sacrae Scripturae (Travel Through Holy Scripture). Hand-colored and shaped like a three-leaf clover, the map put Jerusalem at its center, highlighting its central role in Christianity. submitted by /u/urbansector [link] [comments]

This is the extent of North America I've seen from the ground with my own 2 eyes. | Over the last 25 years I've been a truck driver, worked in oilfields, and run a couple other little businesses that have taken me a lot of different places. This is a Google earth project I've been using to keep track of all that for a long time. It kinda blows my mind sometimes when I see it all aggregated like this. Just wanted to share. (This maps doesn't show some of the places I've been in Mexico, and some European adventures obviously) Im hoping to fill in a lot more empty space in canada and Mexico eventually. submitted by /u/Indigo_Avacado [link] [comments]
