Snake Game on a Globe | Asked the mods to make sure it was okay to post here and was given the green light. I thought this sub might find this variation of a snake game on a globe fun and challenging. You get the name of a city and country and that is where the apple is so you need to navigate around the globe to get there quickly, moving along lines of longitude or latitude. The game calculates the minimum number of steps it would take to get to the next apple, and if you take longer than this, your score starts to go down. As because the game is on a globe, sometimes the fastest way to get to a city on the other side of the world is to go over or under the poles. The game ends when your score goes to zero or you collide with your own body. It's definitely easier to play on a keyboard than on mobile. Enjoy! submitted by /u/EngagingData [link] [comments]

Map of US Toll Roads | These images are from the GIS software I used to map all US Toll Roads. I made it while I was planning my road trip from DC to Madison, WI Notes: - This does not include toll bridges
- Red indicates a toll road
- Purple indicates a road with optional tolled lanes
- Yellow indicates a toll road that only collects tolls during rush hour

Canadian 2025 election maps - how distortion works | I see others are using this map to show population density vs. land. Here's an example of how maps can't show the way people voted because of election systems. The pink box shows Saskatchewan on the map, and the inset shows the votes cast and seats won. sorry for the low res image. submitted by /u/Concentric_Mid [link] [comments]
