Time for another smashing game of "Date that Globe"! | My sister found this globe at a thrift store and sent me these four photos as part of a quest to see if I could figure out when it's from. She only took these four photos, so the quest might be a challenging one. Based on what I know of historical geography, it must be after c. 1951 (due to Tibet being a part of China) and before 1954, since Indochina is still in one piece. I'm not sure what else to look for to try and pinpoint a specific year (or even if there are in fact major differences between 1951 and '54), but I figured this might be a fun challenge for the geography gurus here at r/MapPorn ;) submitted by /u/Zharan_Colonel [link] [comments] | |
