I suppose most companies will do this rather than forego the
profits from the Chinese market.
If western companies were selling physical products, such as DVDs, the
companies would not have to carry out the censorship. Chinese
retailers would not buy the DVDs of the banned programs; the western
company would not be required to participate in censorship.
However, because they run a streaming dis-service,

the dis-service itself is required to censor on China's behalf.
This is one additional reason to reject streaming dis-services. I
condemn their injusties so strongly that I refuse to watch or listen to
anything through them.
