приводятся цифры иммигрантов, занятых проституцией,
это в лучшем случае

в Штатах к этим цифрам еще приплюсовали онлайн-сайты для
проституции (секс-знакомства, специализированные сайты для
проституток) и запретили их все, с понятными результатами для индустрии

потому что это в точности и есть существо проблемы, в общем-то.

плюс ещё и внутренний EU trafficking. который существует, да (если вы не знали).

In 1910, the US Congress passed the White Slave Traffic
Act of 1910 (better known as the Mann Act), which made it
a felony to transport women across state borders for the
purpose of "prostitution or debauchery, or for any other
immoral purpose".

girl for the purpose of prostitution or debauchery, or for

purposes of prostitution. It was one of several acts of
protective legislation aimed at moral reform during the
Progressive Era. In practice, its ambiguous language about
"immorality" resulted in it being used to criminalize even
consensual sexual behavior between adults.[1] It was
amended by Congress in 1978 and again in 1986 to limit its
application to transport for the purpose of prostitution
or other illegal sexual acts.[2]
