America is actually a communist shithole, since it punishes psychiatrists and psychologists for non-report on their clients:
In 1969, a graduate student at U.C. Berkeley killed a fellow student and romantic interest. The parents of the victim, Tatiana Tarasoff, sued the Regents of the University of California, among others, for failing to adequately protect their daughter.

The parents alleged that, two months before the murder, the psychiatric staff at UCB's hospital had the graduate student taken into police custody for hospitalization after he told his therapist that he planned on killing an unspecified young woman who could have easily been identified as Tatiana. The parents claimed that the police officers released the man, and that no one notified them of their daughter’s potential danger.

The California Supreme Court found that a mental health professional has a duty not only to a patient, but also to individuals who are specifically being threatened by a patient. This decision has since been adopted by most states in the U.S. and is widely influential in jurisdictions outside the U.S. as well.

A psychiatrist got jail term, after failing to report on another paedophile psychiatrist:
courts do rule in victims' favor in clear-cut cases of failure to warn or protect, such as the case of a psychiatrist who committed rape during a child psychiatry fellowship, for which he was recommended even after telling his own psychiatrist about his sexual attraction to children.[5]:475

That is literal Soviet tier reporting.

Obviously therapists are law obliged to report on paedophiles:
Many states have statutes requiring healthcare providers, including mental health professionals, to report any suspected abuse of children, elders, and dependent adults. So, in most cases, therapists who hear admissions of such abuse from patients not only can report their patients’ statements—they must.

If, for example, a man confesses to his therapist that he recently beat his stepdaughter, the psychotherapist-patient privilege as to that confession may well fold. The therapist may have to report the admission to the authorities, and the patient’s incriminating statements may be admissible in court. (Hayes v. State, 667 N.E.2d 222 (Ind. Ct. App. 1996).)
