lol, "exaggerated" by whom? i'm sure it's some putin goons talking point, so progressive russians want to be contrarian on this subject, but the fact remains: american public schools are mostly hell. unless you were lucky enough to be born in the suburbs of a real city, like new york, you're probably stuck somewhere between affirmative action and forced busing disnyland, and Columbine training grounds. my wife briefly went to a Baltimore inner city high school, and all she learned was how to avoid bands of roaming diversities. meanwhile homogeneous schools in suburbs and "country" are mostly there to teach you how to play sportsball and salute the flag. your thesis about "you can learn anything if you put your mind to it!" only applies in the cases of ineffective educators, not in the cases where you have constant and active deterrents, that make going to such schools a constant struggle.
