INTRODUCTION from a poor monk:

After a brief respite from the work on last season's "notes" about goodness, we hope to begin a new series, this time on prayer. We will continue the numbering with the next 'epistle' as 2004-101 from a poor monk and begin with #1 again in January. This way, we'll be able to keep some order in editing these as time goes on.
We hope that these will provide you with some re-examination of prayer and perhaps a few new insights and incentives, as well, and that the whole business will afford you further growth in spiritual life and understanding as well as growth in your relationship with the Lord. The coming 'epistles' should not really be seen as something disjointed from last year's, but rather as a furtherance on the theme of "being good" which, obviously, cannot be refined except through prayer.
