the nappy headed ho of the apocalypse
is it me or is this country as fucked as i think it is?
i mean what the fuck ?! so what this dumbass uses the word ho, which is not really an english word, but something quite certainly out of ebonics. "ho" is what the real (black) rap lyricists call women in their rhymes - it's convenient because it only has one-syllable.
This word is part of the repressed misogynistic vocabulary of "the real man". Noone quite means it. In fact, noone hardly really means anything these days. Don Imus just wants to sound edgy. Is he a racist? We will never know one way or the other. Why does it matter? He's surely not oppressing anyone with his unfunny humor - just a grumpy old guy. The "leaders of african american community" - the self appointed political tricksters just want air time. They most likely use the word "ho" in the privacy of their homes fifty times a day.
Yet, everybody is outraged, offended, indignant, hurt, shocked, disgusted and the rest of the matching words. People who don't give a fuck join the condom nation.
The situation when noone means anything they say is called public hypocrisy. Something insults everyone's intelligence, yet noone speaks up. Sounds familiar? You bet it does.
