How did it happen that the "Might always right" does not work in the "western" culture?
"Western" people evolved nice solely because the abundance of arms and later firearms. Which is in turn a side effect of the perpetual war. It is not that the might is no longer right in the "west", it is the "might" has become way too abundant to remain a decisive criterion. People had to evolve some other criteria to dominate each other without risking their own life. In turn the might became ALWAYS ASSUMED -- you can not just break in and kill everyone.
From always assumed state it evolved to not necessarily needed since everyone assume it anyway.
Then the government stepped in and took away your guns.
Then the muslims came. |
