Right now, the music and movie industries are howling and beating their breasts and doing their best to go after anybody who violates their copyrights on a large scale. The fury with which they’re doing it is a measure of their desperation. The Sony rootkit debacle is a perfect example: in an effort to prevent piracy, they secretly installed dangerous spyware into people’s PCs, which itself may have been a criminal act. This was about the dumbest public-relations move since Take-Two lied about the Hot Coffee content, and as with Take-Two, it will cost them vastly more than they could hope to gain from it. Did they really think nobody would find out?

Все эти апелляции к пользе для мирового прогресса попросту наивны.
Люди не могут до сих пор понять, что мировому правительству сейчас именно выгодно остановить прогресс (или, по крайней мере, оно думает, что ему это выгодно), и торможение прогресса - сознательная линия.

Прогресс вообще зло. Правда, очень часто оказывается, что это зло - наименьшее из возможных.
Вообще если убрать конспирологический термин "мировое правительство" и заменить его вектрной суммой интересов всевозможных лоббирующих группировок при правительтствах развитых стран в пространстве интересов, идея менее правильной от этого не станет.
Те, кто делает деньги на технологических инновациях и прочем прогрессе сейчас всё больше по Тайваням с Сингапурами сидят. А в Европе и Америке деньги выгоднее из воздуха делать, на рекламе, на брендовании и прочей мозгопромывке. Поэтому и лоббиружт правительства этих стран в основном всякие контентовладельцы. | |
