Professional spam? Hello --, I was searching for recruiting candidates today and I came across your resume. I checked our client list and although we don’t have an exact "match" for you right now, I believe our firm can still help you. We have a large database of high-level companies and with your help I would like to aggressively market you back to the key hiring people of our client companies as well as other firms that can utilize your skills. Here is a very realistic direct mail and fax campaign I developed for a client with a background very similar to yours. It resulted in 42 responses and 4 job offers in 2 weeks! I don't think a person with my background can possibly get a job by spamming companies in the area via fax and snail mail. I used to look for jobs in the local newspaper and send resumes via snail mail in early / mid-90s but by 2K is was all going via e-mail or on line application. This was definitely related to something I just did - updated my profile / resume on line (Monster / Boston.com & Yahoo Hot Jobs) but my personal info is confidential. So I wonder where they got my e-mail. |
