Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.9 released
Red Hat has announced
the availability of RHEL 5.9. "This release marks the beginning of
Production Phase 2 of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 and demonstrates the
company's continuing effort to promote stability and the preservation of
customers' investments in the platform." The meaning of "production
phase 2" can be found on this
page; essentially, there will be no more software enhancements and
hardware support enhancements will be limited to those that are easy to
incorporate.
