  Norwegian salmon farming tax  Norway is raising the tax rate on salmon farming so that the companies will have to share the profits with people that live in coastal regions. Those quoted as objecting to the tax increase base their arguments implicitly on the trickle-down theory of economics. The owners would like us to believe that if we let them get richer, they will share it with us. But when the time comes to do that, they always argue for postponing it.  |
