Retirement - if you were born before 1938, your full retirement age is 65. Because of a 1983 change in a law, the full retirement age will increase gradually to 67 for people born in 1960 and later.
Your estimated benefits are based on current law. Congress has made changes to the law in the past and can do so at any time. The law governing benefit amounts may change because, by 2037, the payroll taxes collected will be enough to pay only about 76% percent of scheduled benefits.
Короче, для граждан 1960 и более позднего года рождения пенсионный возраст будет наступать к 67 годам. А сумма социального обеспечения, положенная по закону, может в любой момент измениться в соответствии с решением Конгресса, т.к. к 2037 налогов будет хватать где-то на 76% того, что обещают сейчас.
