Slowing down climate defense action will result in increased heat and increased damage, even if it still reaches "net zero" by 2050.

*Approving new oil and gas fields only increased the already large amount of reserves that will have to be kept in the ground if global heating limits are to be reached.* But what's the point of developing more reserves if it doesn't lead to extracting a larger quantity?
