ONTD Lawsuit and revealing lj-users identities

As you may have seen, LiveJournal was sued by Mavrix, a photography agency who was the copyright holder of several images which had been posted to Oh No They Didn't! (ONTD). We are glad to report that the district court ruled in LiveJournal's favor. The point we want to address today, however, is that during this process moderators & maintainers of ONTD felt harassed & threatened, and Mavrix attempted to force us to reveal their identities. It was our opinion that community moderators should not be forced to reveal their identities or be subjected to harassment for content posted by other members of that community. We take your privacy seriously here, tirelessly fought all requests for this information, and were not required to release any information about any member of LiveJournal as part of this lawsuit.

Совершенно стандартное (и правильное) решение по DMCA. В решении четко читается "plaintiff -- harasser, и если б ему на самом деле надо было просто чтоб убрали его фотографии, для этого не надо было в наш суд соваться. Но им надо не это, а как в том анекдоте "чтоб ты затрахался"

Given the love-in about your admirable stance on the law suit, I'd like to ask two questions.

1) Have you been forced to or have you chosen to reveal identities of your subscribers located in Russia or elsewhere to any agents of the Russian state?
AND
2) What are you planning to do about your subscribers in Russia if/when the internet iron curtain comes down, reportedly on January 1st, 2015?

I would like to know the answers to both questions, are all LiveJournal members protected in the same way? Regardless where they live?

Это совсем разные вопросы на самом деле. И тот, что в этом судебном решении, гораздо проще (поэтому и ответ гораздо проще получился). Там речь шла о законах одной страны и о фигурантах в этой стране, и еще где закон совершенно недвусмысленно написан, а plaintiff пытался притянуть за уши вещи так, что даже судье это пришлось не по душе.

Юлины вопросы хорошие, но к этому решению суда они отношения не имеют (хоть и вполне нормально задать их в таком контексте).
