Join us for a lecture series with a difference as we explore and celebrate queer Australian and South Australian lives. Four speakers over four weeks tackle bodies, art, sex, death, love, law, loss and music to reveal the complexities, histories and victories of LGBTIQ activism and the arts.

'Abortion, homosexuality, prostitution: Law reform and progress in South Australia'

Barbara Baird is an Associate Professor in the Discipline of Women’s Studies at Flinders University in Adelaide, South Australia. Her research focuses on histories and cultural politics of sexuality and reproduction in Australia. Her current research focus is the provision of abortion services in Australia since 1990.
