Music 2.0. Katya Chehova. ![]() Electronic dance music that was another way in which russian pop may continue to develop. Softer than pure electronic music, but harder than europop. With female vocal as a lead and melodic streak through dense musical tissue of a track. The harbingers of electronic dance music was group Russkiy Razmer. They existed around for a long time somewhere in limbo cause their songs were vaguely known to everyone, but for their style the time hadn`t come yet. The bellwether of this music became Katya Chehova. She brought this kind of music to the front row of popular music. It happened surprisingly late, basically on a verge of the big wave, when everything moved to the end. So to receive the perseption of the end of a belle epoque you should listen following her tracks Ya robot, and Mne by po tvoim proiti ulitcam. Practically swan song, we even didn`t have enough time to know how she looks like. The last immensely popular songs that throbbed the discoteka`s dance floors everywhere, bittersweet. As soon as we are taking a look at electronic music, another one phenomenal group should be mentioned, Ivan Kupala. It is a unique example of its kind. The group brought together an electronic sound and prehistoric sound. Not even folk, as a fact, by the way, all folk music were written in ninetienth century by contemporary classical composers for each nation separately. But they dug deeper, and brought to the surface an primordial instruments, sounds, dialects, and magic. The magic that was not even in blood yet, but in sod itself. Listen for example song Yascher, or other form this group, they persistently played in one style. They perfected this style, and stayed only one group that play it. These groups were the only three groups who made their way to the lights. But in shadow existed a big russian electronic scene. To make acquaintance with it you should listen mixtapes which were issued by label Legkie. There were a bunch of very talented musicians. So electronic music could become a next big thing. But it did not. It will be a complete utopia. The second coming of a rave culture but on a base of electronic dance music, with more vocal part in it. Every high school student would dabble with creating the sound, instead of scoring points in computer games, they would be sharing their tracks with peers through nets, instead of useless funny pics and wit sayings. The vocal would be female. So they would create a duos, lad on keypad and lass with mic. Not relaxing substances, but uptighting stiring stuff. Unabashed revelry. The lyric of cause will be rebelious. Not depressed shit of self-depricating rap cryings and complaints. But strong energetic defiance lyric of full blooded youth. What style will be mostly conducive to revolution. What`s music better suited to take a possession of a goverment building. What`s music will arise campuses. Luscious loud vivifying fast music. Bright color suave clothes, young assertive faces, beautiful bodies, sharp minds, good guys. That`s my vision. That`s right, electronic music is your future freedom. ![]() |
