We examined rates and correlates of child abuse in an ethnically and socioeconomically diverse sample of girls with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD; n = 140) and a matched comparison sample of girls without ADHD (n = 88), all aged 6-12 years. A thorough chart review reliably established documented rates of physical and sexual abuse in both samples.
Results
Of the 24 cases with abuse histories, four were comparison girls (4.5% of comparison sample) and 20 were girls with ADHD (14.4% of the ADHD sample). И это без специального исследования пренебрежения до 2 лет.
Если было бы не 1/5, а хотя бы 1/2, с учетом латентности пренебрежения можно было бы говорить о 100% зависимости пренебрежения и СДВГ. В данном случае зависимость может быть и немалая, но даже не 50%, так что автор статьи не совсем прав, соглашаюсь.
