I haven't seen the movie, but as an American who absolutely adores classic Russian cinema, this movie really upsets me.
Does this mean Russia is heading in an American direction, with special effects laced, souless blockbusters being churned out the way they are in Hollywood?
If the success of this movie is any indication, I think maybe this is so.
Very sad. I miss Tarkovsky.
