Разыскиваются(лись) преступники

Разыскал в нашей местной газете, очень старое сообщение о розыске двух преступников.

Сообщению этому, почти год.

Конечно, есть и описание преступников. Вот я все пытаюсь понять, это на них папахи, или это что-то еще?

Detective Jeffrey Green, Clackamas County spokesman, said a woman left a business at about 10:55 p.m. and was walking to her vehicle when she was approached by two men asking for $5.

When she said she didn’t have the money, she was struck in the upper back. The men then prevented the woman from running away and threw her to the ground.

Green said the woman asked the men whether they would leave her alone if she gave them money. One agreed.

But when the woman returned to her vehicle, she was hit in the face. The woman gave the men the money she had and the men ran away, south on 132nd Avenue.
