One can imagine himself as a tip of a pyramid created by your ancestors; just ten generations down there are more than a thousand of them - a whole legion.
And the foundation of this pyramid, taken just within historical times, is in millions; and they all propping you up.
And then imagine yourself pushing your children even further, to the unknown future.
This in itself is a heroic act.

It would be appropriately rational to view every Muslim in the West as a "sleeper", i.e. spies and terrorists from a hostile state masquerading as citizens, to be activated by their handlers at any given moment.
There used to be thousands of the Communist "sleepers"; thanks to Mr. Gorbachev most of them continue to sleep and pretend to be like the rest of us.
Alas, there is no such a Mr. Gorbachev in the Muslim world, and never going to be.
