I am thinking of the image formed in the mind of an average American after reading your post's subject line. It's always puzzled me why that small country and the home state of Coca-Cola should have the same name in English.

One was named after St George, the saint protector of the ancient Caucasian land, the other after his British kingly namesake. Perhaps Kartveli would be a better name, but it's too late now.
