Just tried mobile directions to a neighboring town.
1170.8 miles 18 hours 0 mins.
Yahoo confused Peabody, MA with Peabody, IL. "Naviagation Technologies", uh-huh.
Need to try the back directions now, just in case. |

Never omit state from the address, and the enlightenment will be yours. IOW, nothing to see here, move along.

Oh, so you are smart. Why then does it find "Peabody, IL" when looking for "Peabody, MA"? And why is the company name misspelled? And why don't you join LJ so you could sing in like decent people do? :-)

"Sing in", hmm. Some typos are better than others.

How would I know if you have not provided any information for others to try and reproduce the alleged bug? The company name could have been misspelled for trademark reasons, to name one. And no, I'm not smart, I'm a slob; why, then, would I need to join LJ if I can write anonymously in some people's pages?
You're brave (or careful) enough to allow that, unlike a few graphomaniacs I've encountered; so, please, continue to be graceful enough to recognise the existence of a few anonymous cowards, to use Slashdot's designation. Joining LJ only to be able to add to a few choruses of sycophants on the pages where the anonymous postings are not allowed is not for me.

This is not a bug report. This is лытдыбр, see.
The company name is misspelled because of typographical errors. It is in fact called "Navigation Technologies", also Navtech or Navteq. I did some googling before posting this. And also did some reporting to them, hopefully they will pass it on to the development people.
why, then, would I need to join LJ if I can write anonymously in some people's pages?
Yet you do not see everything they write, specifically what they post for friends only. And you cannot start your own topics. You cannot form your own friends feed either, not very easily, anyway.

I am careful.

I am not a graphomaniac. :-)

Yes, I like this expression too. However, this is not cowardice, just inconvenience. Which is easy to fix.

Some might argue that these are dubious advantages.... (-:

Not many advantages in not being able to start topics, are there?

Just because someone posts as anonymous does not mean they do not have their own LJ page (http://www.livejournal.com/users/email_animal/).
Eh?
Yours truly e_a.

Oh. But that other anonymous put forward an argument, uh, against joining LJ. Ah! I tried to give him counterarguments.
Now you give him another one: after joining LJ, one can still enjoy posting anonymously. :-) | |
