Katrina: What Went Right [Sep. 19th, 2005|07:52 pm]
Er... I cannot agree 100%. For example: "What looked like a hurricane relief breakdown was in fact a press release breakdown." Well, if there was no information available for the outside world, that's not a big deal, but the fact that no information was available for the people affected by the hurricane and flood is disturbing. Of course, it requires infrastructure which is vulnerable and has to be prepared in advance, but it's cheap (battery-operated and crank-shaft radios etc).
