Clemenceau said "He who is not liberal in his youth has no heart; he who does not become conservative with age has no head."

This quote is usually attributed to Churchill, which is known to be false. Clemenceau may be a better attribution; does anybody know?

Oh, by the way. The Churchill Museum in Laurel, MD must be no more than half an hour from my home. Got to check them out.

Я читал это про Бисмарка. Только там вместо либерала был социалист, а вместо не превращения в консерватора - продолжение быть социалистом.

Иными словами, всё придумано? Интересно было бы узнать, кто всё это начал.

А я всегда хотела уточнения возраста - at what age are we supposed to obtain a head and become conservative?

BTW, I live in Laurel.

Everything is good in moderation. (I am talking about being conservative, not about living in Laurel!)
