Yes, a little bit of "unlearning" may sometimes be required from advanced students of the language if they had studied it from the books.

My point is opposite.
I was willing to "unlearn" and I did unlearned and now, in this text, I see that I knew it correct from the beginning.
I did not have to unlearn (in this case)!
