In light of the recent war on women, we are calling for a nationwide sex strike from April 28th to May 5th. All women should withhold from having sex with their partners.

This will help people understand that contraception is for women and men, because men enjoy the benefit of women making their own choices about when and if they want to get pregnant.

Once congress and insurance agencies agree to cover contraception, we will then resume having sex. Until then men will have to be content with their left hand.

These are all big deals. Big fucking deals, to quote our vice president.

2. The Real Entitlement Mentality

By any rational metric, Obama has presided over a national disaster. Consider how he has mishandled

* the economy (real unemployment north of 9%)

* the deficit ($1.6 trillion annually)

* the prestige of the Untied States abroad

* our national security

Consider also

* the looming train wreck that is ObamaCare

* Solyndra and kindred adventures in crony capitalism, emetic utopianism, and fiscal irresponsibility

* The GM “bailout,” coming to a tax bill near you (buy a Volt, get a taxpayer-subsidized break of $7000)

* the regulatory nightmare that Obama’s EPA has foisted upon American business

* the malevolent joke that is the Obama Department of Justice (Fast and Furious, the Black Panther case, etc.)

And this is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. What’s shocking is not that Mitt Romney is ahead. A syphilitic camel should be ahead. What’s shocking is that the distance is only 5 points.

The Atlantic рассказывает нам о трудах профессора биоэтики, который нашел новый способ противостоять Изменению Климата.

Предлагается там, например, фармакологическим путем воспитывать отвращение к мясу, чтобы не надо было разводить коров, которые портят атмосферу. Или биоинженерными методами сделать людей размером поменьше. Они тогда будут потреблять меньше ресурсов. Ну и, разумеется, реморализаторы на геостационарной орбите медикаментозное воспитание эмпатии и альтруизма. Интересные, в общем, предложения.

Вот ходят люди вокруг да около, подчеркивают добровольность и дисклеймеры развешивают, никак не наберутся храбрости дойти до логического конца и сказать вслух, что для спасения планеты надо лишних людей экстерминировать, тем более что никакого с них толку все равно. Один Линккола за всех отдувается.

UPD: интервью вызвало нервную реакцию у разных слоев населения, и авторы статьи отреагировали на эту реакцию. Сам Ляо высказался примерно так – мы, мол, писали для тех, кто верит в глобальное потепление, с остальными и разговаривать-то не стоит, – а его соавтор сообщил, что перед публикацией чувствовал себя немножко троллем. Текст заслуживает изучения не в меньшей степени, чем оригинальное интервью.
