И ещё раз о Кате Полищук о Кате Полищук Dear friends, On August 12, 2005, Katya, the 4-year-old daughter of our friends Sasha Polishchuk and Masha Nemirovskaya, was diagnosed with diffuse instrinsic pontine glioma, the worst form of pediatric brain cancer. The outlook is very grim, and the average life expectancy, according to the doctors, is less than a year. All standard methods of treatment are known to provide no long-term cure. Katya's family is trying to give her every possible chance for survival and is exploring all treatment options, including experimental ones available in the US and abroad. Most of these treatments are expensive and not fully covered by insurance if covered at all. The struggle for Katya's life is going to be physically and emotionally draining for the whole family. Regardless of the treatment plan they choose, they will soon be in dire financial need. You may help Katya and her family enormously by sending your donations. We have set up a special fund for this purpose. Any amount is greatly appreciated. You may also help by getting other people to join this effort. Please forward this letter to anyone who may also like to help. More information about Katya and her fight with cancer is at her website http://www.uoregon.edu/~vaintrob/katya/ her uncle Arkady Vaintrob. This site will be updated periodically.
