Sad - sad - sad, today I receiced the V/A "Dependence - Next Level Electronics Vol. 2" (official release date: 19st of Jan.) in which label founder Stefan Herwig declares that Dependent will close its doors in summer 2K7. Planned new albums of Rotersand, Mind.In.A.Box, Suicide Commando, Pride & Fall, Autoaggression and some others will be released, but after that...
There's a long explanation of Herwig available in 24-sides filled booklet in both languages, German and English, besides a completely discography and band introductions.
It contents what some nice people like Tommy T have always and ever declared here, although he and others here often got flamed for this: The immense growing of illegal downloads (example here: the Russian pirate site Mp3db.ru) which Herwig demonstrated in numbers of 5000 downloads of the album "Double-Crosser" of Seabound in only 7 days (while the world-wide CD sales in the first 2 - 3 week were around 2500 pcs...). Note: ONLY on this one illegal site. Illegal downloads of albums are currently happen to a factor of more than 3 up to 5 to 1 offical sale...

I cut the story short: to me one of the best labels of our scene has called its quit and I'm shocked! Note: this is Dependent - who will follow?

На протяжении 90-х Индастриал, - вернее его разновидность Индастриал-Метал - занимал существенное место в Альтернативном метале, однако к концу столетия силы жанра иссякли и он потихоньку ушел в тень. Практически единственным процветающим в настоящее время направлением Индастриала является Индастриал-Дэнс, большинство групп которого приходятся на США и Германию. Близким индастриалу (хронологически и идейно-стилистически) направлением является нойз (предшественники - Velvet Underground, Лу Рид соло и др.). Влияние индастриала ощутимо в творчестве многих групп и исполнителей, от Korn до Рассела Миллза (Russel Mills). Среди русских представителей индастриала можно назвать Cyclotamia, Reutoff, Solar Salt.
