9:35p	Reuters has admitted that one of its published photos has been crudely distorted and, under pressure from bloggers, has "killed" a photo of a Beirut bombing and published an apology. A Reuters has suspended an employee for sending a death threat to an American blogger. The message, sent by someone with the address zionistpig@hotmail.com, was: "I look forward to the day when you pigs get your throats cut." Based on these descriptions, it seems highly likely that Abu Shadi the mortician and Abu Shadi the green-helmeted "civil defense worker" are one and the same. And, in the double role, Abu Shadi was among the first to arrive, before the media did, with his refrigerated truck that in recent days had been carrying around corpses. The current suspension of Israeli military air activity is supposedly intended, among other things, to be used for the investigation of what really happened at Qana. It is to be hoped that there are real journalists on the scene, and unbiased medical examiners, who will have the courage and intelligence to sort out the anomalies and contradictions, and get to the buried truth of what happened.
