Блядь, Денис, ты не представляешь, КАКОЙ ёбаный цорес эта блядская олимпиада создала для всех без исключения.
Как радовались все китайцы, а уж пекинцы-то, когда пришла новость о проведении игр у нас. Теперь же - ВСЕ как один мои пекинские знакомцы клянут её на чём свет стоит, причём совершенно не стесняясь в выражениях, да и не только пекинские. Я 6 числа вернулся из Qingdao, где будут проводить олимпийскую регату - там такие же чувства.
Выебли мозги - всем, создали невероятную массу неудобств - всем, смяли планы, порушили бизнесы, лишили выручки и контрактов, короче - фпесду, фпесду.
Теперь отношение к этому чёртову празднику - чтоб он тока быстрее прошёл и на хуй.
Некоторые вот даже не стесняются открыто говорить, что мстительно желают, чтобы все эти дурацкие меры ни к чему не привели, и на олимпиаде непременно что-то бы случилось. Ну без жертв, но крупное и шумное. Типа, чтоб нам не одним было хуёво.
В общем, власти вторично за последние полгода показали, что кроме как через жопу, они за 20 с хуем лет реформ мало что научились делать.
Увы.

Нифига себе. Не думал, что китайцы, которые так долго ждали Олимпиаду будут так думать. Но, видать, прижали их конкретно.

Ты бы подробнее у себя расписал ситуацию? Очень интересно, тем более, что рядом всё происходит. Я сначала собирался съездить в Пекин, посмотреть своими глазами на всё, но чем ближе подходила Олимпиада, тем более худшей затеей мне это казалось. Теперь уже радуюсь, что не вляпался в эту историю.

Так случилось: американца зарезали, взрывы и атаки на полицейских (в Уйгурии что-ли). Или "мстительно желают" чего-то большего ?

Violent crime against foreigners is rare in tightly controlled China, and the assault occurred despite major security measures that have blanketed the capital city during the Olympics. A 100,000-strong security force plus countless volunteers have been deployed to protect against any trouble.

Police said Tang went through his second divorce in 2006 and grew increasingly despondent when his 21-year-old son started getting into trouble, Xinhua reported. The son was detained in May 2007 on suspicion of fraud, then received a suspended prison sentence in March this year for theft.

(CNN) -- Pre-dawn clashes in a remote northwestern county Sunday killed at least eight people, including a security guard, after assailants using handmade explosives attacked police and government facilities, China's state-run Xinhua reported.

Chinese authorities cordoned off the area and ordered all businesses closed in Kuqa County, located in the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region, which borders Tibet. The county is home to about 400,000 people.

Xinhua reported that seven attackers were among those killed, four of them by suicide. Last month, officials said they cracked five terrorist groups in the autonomous region that allegedly were plotting to sabotage the Summer Olympics in Beijing, about 1,740 miles (2,800 km) from Kuqa County.

BEIJING, China (CNN) -- At least 16 police officers were killed, and 16 more were wounded, after an attack on a border police station in western China on Monday morning, the state-run Xinhua news agency reported.

A pair of attackers crashed a heavy truck into a group of police officers who were jogging near the station and then threw at least five homemade bombs into a police barracks, setting off an explosion, Xinhua reported. The attackers also hacked some of the police with knives, according to Xinhua.

The incident happened in Kashi, in the Xinjiang Uygher Autonomous Region, which is also known as East Turkistan. Both attackers were arrested.

Police suspect a terrorist plot behind the raid.

The regional public security department said it received clues suggesting the "East Turkistan Islamic Movement" planned to make terrorist attacks between August 1-8, Xinhua reported. August 8 marks the start of the Olympic Games in Beijing.

The movement wants an independent, self-governing Xinjiang.

Last month, police said they had cracked five terrorist groups in the autonomous region where attackers hit the police station on Monday. Authorities said the groups were allegedly plotting to sabotage the Olympics, Xinhua reported.

China falls short on Olympic promises, critics say

... Beyond human rights, questions remain about whether China has kept its promises to the world to improve in two other major areas of reform: freedom of the press and pollution cleanup.

Human rights

"In the run up to the Olympics, it seems that Chinese authorities are so obsessed with projecting an image of 'stability' and 'harmony' ... that they have really come down quite hard on human right's activists and lawyers," said Sam Zarifi, Asia-Pacific director for Amnesty International.

In its report "The People's Republic of China: The Olympics Countdown -- Broken Promises," Amnesty International details what it calls a systematic persecution of dissident voices in Beijing and throughout China.

"The Chinese authorities have used the Olympics and the cleanup before the Olympics as an excuse to maintain and extend a draconian detention system that they had called re-education through labor," Zarifi said. "What that really means is that they're punished through forced labor to be taught a lesson ... and thousands of people who have ordinary complaints or demand reforms of the Chinese government have instead been rounded up."

Beijing secured the Olympics in 2001 amid some controversy, with a tacit acknowledgment of concerns over its record on human rights, press freedom and environmental pollution. Even the day before the host city was announced, Wang Wei, then secretary general of the Beijing Olympic Bid Committee, said China was committed to change.

"We are confident that the games coming to China not only promote our economy but also enhance all social conditions, including education, health and human rights," Wang said. "We will give the media complete freedom to report when they come to China."

Press freedom

However, it was quite a different story for reporters as they arrived at the Olympic press center in Beijing. They discovered that many Web sites had been blocked, such as those with information about Tiananmen Square protests, Tibet, Taiwan or the Dalai Lama.

Internet sites are severely regulated throughout China, and limited access to some of the sites was granted only after reporters complained to the IOC.

The same official who assured the international media of "complete freedom" in 2001 took a somewhat different tone last week.

"Yes, we promised to provide free access to the Internet, except for a few [Web sites] that would jeopardize our national security and would not be good for the healthy growth of our young people," said Wang, who is now the executive vice president of Beijing's Olympic organizing committee.

Critics of China's policy on a free press said the problems run much deeper than the lack of access to some Web sites from the Olympic Village.

"China's political reality is a place where no freedom of expression will really be allowable ... this goes for the Chinese people and the foreign journalists," said Xiao Qiang, director of the China Internet Project at the University of California, Berkeley. "[China] is always afraid that if it lets its own people speak freely and spontaneously organize by itself, the Chinese communist party could be endangered or even be threatened."

Foreign journalists in China for the Olympics complain that access to report on anything that extends beyond sporting events has been severely limited. Xiao points to the recent beating and detention of two Japanese journalists who were investigating an alleged terrorist attack in northwestern China ...

"They also feel since they got the Olympics, the world is coming anyway by this point, they can just do what they want and just let the world tolerate rather than have to fundamentally change their own behavior," Xiao said.

Pollution

A third major commitment by China in its Olympic bid was to clean up pollution in Beijing. Although government readings on pollution have gone down in the years since China won the bid, they still routinely far exceed World Health Organization guidelines. And at least one American-based environmental consultant believes that China has purposely manipulated its own pollution statistics to give a false impression that more progress has been made.

Despite official assurances that the air is safe for competition, athletes and fans have expressed concern over the thick smog covering the entire city.

BEIJING, China (CNN) -- A little girl and her song captivated millions of viewers during the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics. But what they saw was not what they heard.

Games organizers confirm that Lin Miaoke, who performed "Ode to the Motherland" as China's flag was paraded Friday into Beijing's National Stadium, was not singing at all.

Lin was lip-syncing to the sound of another girl, 7-year-old Yang Peiyi, who was heard but not seen, apparently because she was deemed not cute enough.
